Headcanon: Teleri & Sea Ainur

Círdan and his Falathrim, also those dwelling at Mithlond, do not hold inane rituals for the maias.  They hold a constant respect and reverence for the Valar.  They prefer to offer their services as a sign of gratitude for their love, wisdom and compassion.  He is aware that without Ossë and Ulmo, he would not be where he is now.

There are mosaic murals in alcoves lining the street above the sea wall that depict the maias along with other key figures in their history (Eärendil and Gil-galad, for example).  That is the extent of temples for they know if they wish to reach Ulmo, Ossë, or Uinen, they need only to go to the water rather than a useless landlocked temple.

There are prayers, small gifts as well - usually things such as pearls, or some of their finer crafts - but nothing elaborate and over the top.  The Teleri know that Ossë may make their seas rough and scare them, he will not bring them to harm.  Just the same, they know Uinen will be there to calm Ossë should he get carried away and will protect them just as passionately as her husband.  They also know that Ulmo is with them wherever there is water and he will always be there to hear them.

Círdan sees them as friends to him and his people and are welcomed with open arms at any given time.
