masteroftheseas:

Ossë’s thrum became louder, a pleasant humming the vibrated through his chest as Círdan pressed close. Any doubts he may have had about hearing his name and why it might be murmured vanished at the evidence presented and he grinned wider when he met his eyes. But instead of teasing, he shifted and slid a leg over to tangle with Círdan’s and settled an arm over his Elf to keep him there. He dipped his head for a languid kiss, perfectly content with the sleepy warmth of the moment.

“Pleasant dreams?” he prodded.

A flush colored his cheeks even in the pale moonlight illuminating his rooms.  He was still asleep enough that he was trying to convince himself whether or not this was a dream, logic trying to tell him that Ossë should be very far away and could not possibly be here but he felt very real.  The kiss certainly made up his mind, his fingers threading through the maia’s wild hair loosely.

“Mm, it was a good dream but I think I like this much better,” he decided, nuzzling his nose Ossë’s with a lazy grin.  There was no reason to fully wake up.  "I thought you were managing the tides?“
