Letters | Círdan & Poppy

“The guest quarters,” he motioned to the corridor ahead of them.  ”I thought it might be best to show you where you can stay with us.  Finding your way around is rather simple, just head for the water and you can see the roads branching up much like roots,” he explained as he went along past the different doors before stopping at one and opening it for her.

“Thank you!” Poppy stepped through the doorway, committing his instructions on how to navigate the city to her memory. She felt sure those would come in quite handy later on, especially if she were to grow hungry again. The Hobbit made a mental note to do a bit of exploring at some point, to better familiarize herself with the city.

With that settled, her attentions were free to take in the guest room. It was simply, but comfortably furnished. The bed looked soft and inviting, swathed in pillows and blankets, and also quite large, compared to her own smaller one back home. A wooden desk and chair occupied one portion of the space, facing towards the large window that looked out over the water. Those would come in quite useful, when she began to draft her letter to Rossiel. Poppy made her way through the room, trailing her fingers across a few of the surfaces, before turning back to Círdan with a bright smile.

“This is quite lovely! I like it very much!”

“I’m glad you like it!  We do try to make this a welcoming home for those passing through,” and at one point it had been a welcoming home for many during the second and third ages.  He knew everything was sized more for elves than a Hobbit but he did not doubt they would be any less comfortable.

“You are welcome to stay here or you can explore,” he did not know how tired she might be from the trip from the Shire.  "If you would like me to show you around more, I can do that as well, Galdor is overseeing the inventories.“
