The female encoarched far from the woods to where she belonged. The war of mirkwood now but a distant memory, middle Earth was taken by the humans; a period of transitioning was occuring and the sylvan found herself in wonder as to what the sea looked like. Sullen hues gaze to the rolling waves of the grey heavens, she had not the heart to watch her prince sail and instead found herself in regret and uncertainty with the thoughts; would she see him again? "It is odd what time gives to us."

Círdan often stood to watch the ships sail off towards the horizon, but he tended to do so on the shore rather than in the harbor.  The mood was too palpable around others, some were crestfallen at saying goodbye but it was also so very empty.  He missed the days where the Halls were filled and songs filled the air, but now there was a great deal of silence save the cries of the gulls and the dull roar of the shore.

“Time gives us everything,” he mused.  ”It gives us knowledge, opportunities, and experience.  It does not take from us, but simply gives us pause to appreciate what we have had and will have,” he looked over to the elleth as he spoke, his hands still clasped behind his back.
